"The purpose of abstraction is not to be vague,
but to create a new semantic level in which one can be absolutely precise"

E. W. Dijkstra - from the Humble Programmer, 1972.
(Read also another interesting article about abstraction).

I am a Full Professor (Professore Ordinario) at Politecnico di Milano. I hold or held adjunct or visiting positions at RI.SE Sweden, Uppsala University, NXP Technologies, TU Graz, University of Southern California, University of Illinois at Chicago, and USI Lugano.
My research is about designing, building, and validating networked embedded software to power the operation of the Internet of Things!
I am the coordinator of international mobility for Computer Engineering at Politecnico di Milano.
